Hi waterdog,
I really like the way you have your OTA packaged. All ready to put on the mount.
Thanks, Rich

Bill, that's a beautiful setup. I see you put the CG-5 tripod to good use.

I've owned a 10" Dob and now the 120ST so when I now look at or through that old 60mm it seems like a toy. Still, I spent so many years loving the views I got through it and believing it was the best scope anywhere that I haven't the heart to part with it, to my wife's dismay.

Once in a while I still bring this out. This was Saturday and my back is still paying the price.

I love that scope Zigster....
I haven't taken my scope to any star parties lately, and probably won't any more. It ain't the OTA that is the issue with me..it is the over 500lb's of hydraulic pier/base, and EQ head that kills me...
When I go out I take my 4" telephoto, and my 25X127 binos.
Star parties for me are pretty much held at GOMOC these days.
Beautiful scope my friend.

Yes Rob, you know what it's like to move one of these. I'm only dealing with 305 pounds.
I posted additional pictures from Astronomy Day in the 'Outreach' forum.

Wow! That photo really gives an idea the size of your refractor.
It is good of you to take it out. What a treat for the other folks at the star party.

Here is my little TEC200/9... it is only 280 lbs (complete setup). This is its photographic configuration as of late with the Manon achromat guidescope, Meade DSI Pro guiding camera, and SBIG ST237 main camera. Saturn and the Moon are pretty much it until August unless I start finding double stars.
