This is the D&G 6" F17.5
My back reminded me why I got the 160. It's a lot easier to set up than anything that has to go on the Byers mount.
This is my daughter Becky's graduation present from last year. Since she doesn't have a place to house it yet I still have it here. I have yet to take out under the stars. I thought maybe tonight but, if it's clear, I'm going to take the 160. I don't want to set this up twice in one day.
But just looking through at the mountains it looks pretty good. So far so good.

This is probably the most affordable 90mm f/5.6 refractor on the market, just costing me $69. The scope is accompanied with 3 eyepieces, one Barlow lens, a 8x21 right angle finder, and a not so stable tripod.

That's cool! Mine OEM version is in a very bad condition: dusty and dismantled. The mount is broken, and so to the tripod.
The apartments are very small in Hong Kong. Even I have no place to store the scope but to dismantle it.
Sometime I feel sorry even for getting start in this hobby. One have to order accessories overseas.

Thanks guys. I still have to put a laser pointer on it and a telrad. Becky says she can't find anything without a telrad.
I like the 80mm finders. They double nicely as an RFT. It's been a fun project.
I'll put it under the stars first chance. I really want to do a side by side with the 160.

I posted a thread in ATM aboiut the construction of my 6" F5. Now that I finished it I feel I can post a pic of it here.
The objective is a cheapo off ebay. The handles at the viewing end are from an aluminum pot. The dewshield and cap is from a cannister from Bed Bath & Beyond. Kineoptiocs focuser. A Baader Semi-APO filter is permanently set on the front of the diagonal.
Great views with the 30mm Hyperion Aspheric. Not a bad Grab&Go for 6"

Hi John!
I love seeing your scope again! It's a great ATM project. The handles really are the finishing touch!
