Last night was first light for the 6" f/17.5. Tonight was a better night so I set it up again and also the 160mm TEC. The two scopes are very close in performance. Optically I would give an ever so slight edge to the 160. Amazingly it is easier to focus at high powers due in large part to the Feather Touch focuser. The nice thing about the 6” is that it has so much depth of field that you don’t have to fiddle with the focus, i.e., refocus again and again.

That's great Siegfried,
I wish I could get my hands on a TEC 160 to compare to my 6" f15 (D&G lens)! Glad to hear that first light went well and thanks for another great picture.

Thanks, Siegfried! Great side-by-side shot ... the TEC is something else, but that 6" f/17.5 is stunning!

Zigster....Love that deep depth of focus. When I get behind those f/4's and f/5's I get real annoyed! Mike

Nice FS128 kit, Sam! That got to be an NSV looking at the OTA length and the lens cap.

Oh man I loved my FS128. I could hold that thing with one hand and cooldown was like 10-20 minutes no matter what.
