At the time (and still to some extent) I was a big fan of the scope. I was sold on it but ended up with the SV today. I was always put off a bit due to low f/ratio, but loved the fact it was a 110 vs a 102. I am not going to question myself now (bad timing, the scope is 4 hrs in my hands!)I have the 102 now.
What are you using now?... (edit) (see it now the AR5)
You don't like it as well?

I do like my AR5, but I really get tired of lugging it around. It is definilty a nice scope and provides great views as well. I'm thinking about getting a 80ED now.

Must be a "young man" thing, or something
Seriously, I kinda know what Zach's deal might be... they are all...
so different...
and different, is exciting!!!
Gotta tell ya, though... my (so far) short time with this TMB80SS is convincing me that my NEXT scope will be something in the 127, 130 to 155/160 ED Triplet APO range

know what I mean?
Hopefully, I'll get a gander at SOME of these during BEOTS in less than 2 weeks!
(course, I'll hafta tear myself away from Gary's 30" Obsession)! to do so...
Hmmmm... quality or quantity?
clear enough skies

I got DM-6 and G11 Tripod. Now I can safely mount new scope.
Oh well, it has been foggy night around here.
It is WO FLT 152 on DM-6/G11 Tripod.

Tammy,
Compared with TSA, how do you rate the WO 152's optic quality?
How about the CA and the sharpness and contrast against TSA?
Thanks

Hi, Kurt.
I haven't had enough airtime to compare two scopes yet. Here is my quick first light. First impression is good.
Quick first light
I've been busy with day job 15 hours 7 days a week workload. OK, day and night job.
We are planning to do 152 shootout with Daniel Mounsey's excellent Tak FS 152 when our schedule and good seeing condition come across.
It will be fun.

Here's my new Pronto on an AP400QMD. It's not getting any use yet as it's still awaiting a few parts (a 70mm Solarscope etalon and 20mm blocking filter), but once they're here I'll have to post it in the solar forum.

And a closeup of a few custom bits I machined for it (the adapter plate between the clamshell and dec head and the two shoulder bolts for the clamshell).

Nice Proto Jeff. Do you think the mount can handle the weight? I'm not sure it's beefy enough.

Sean --
I was actually looking for a Tak P2Z since there's no AP200 or 300, but the 400 came up on the 'Mart first, and well, you know how it goes....
(If I ever double-stack the etalons it'll be one porky little Pronto, though. I think they weigh 4 or 5 lbs each.)
Cheers, -- Jeff.

Thanks, Sean.
I wish I had enough time to observe. I got up at 3am this morning and went outside. It has been foggy night here but it was very clear and good seeing.
I couldn't get myself setup scope outside. I just took my Nikon ProStar with me and sweeping skies.
It was wonderful, though. Jupiter looked great.
