BTW, some may notice a strange addition to the C6R near the finder. It's a counterweight for the OTA, so I could move the lens end out some. This scope is very nose heavy, so the eyepiece end swings quite a bit. The counterweight system is actually designed for Meade's Lightbridge 12" & 16" Dobs. But by adding two more tube rings (from Orion) and drilling a couple of new holes in the rail the weights sit on, I was able to get a clean looking rear weight system for the scope. Each weight disc is one pound, and two weights come with the system. More can be bought. A simple twist of the weight, and it can be slid along the rail to any spot you want. Going to have to add a couple more weights to get this just the way I want it, but it works pretty good as is. The extra tube rings and drilling of the rail is not necessary, as the rail has that good tape on the bottom for sticking to the Lightbridge mirror tube. But I didn't want to tape it to my C6R. I found this at Scopestuff. Doug

Those were the original photos, before I added the extra ring and trimmed the rail. Here's how it looks now.

Outstanding setups, Curt! Very nice!
Thanks Walter! I still have not yet had an opportunity to try them out yet. When I am at home it is cloudy, and when I work nights, it is clear..

Keep us posted when you get a chance to try them out, Curt!
And that's a slick counterweight you put together, Doug! Well done!

Thanks, Walter, "UGLY", and PhilCo126. Lucky the weights are stackable, as I need at least one, and maybe two, more, to get the scope right where I want it. Got to be careful, though. Don't want to overload the mount (CG-5ASGT). Doug

Here's my very rare SV127 Apo with Duo Fluoro lens'. Visually the views are are breathaking, bright, sharp, with lots of contrast. I am very fortunate to have picked one up from Vic at Stellarvue. Only 6 were ever made I belive.

Hi Rick-- That's a sweet-looking, versatile, and potent TV85 setup! I know because I have its twin--in forest green color--at my house as my grab-n-go rig. Everything goes out the door together in one trip, and it takes minutes to fire up the SkyTour and be observing. Bet you use your's that way too? Clear Skies.

Very Nice Nick!
I know that Vic really poured himself into those scopes. They are quite special!
