Cloudy Nights is going to bring NEAF live to you this year via a webcast right here on the site. We have two separate cameras, one will be stationary at the CN booth, and the other is completely mobile for live interviews and show walk arounds. We are trying to bring the NEAF experience to all the people that couldn't make it.
More details will follow.

April 26th and 27th. 26th should be running from 9 a.m. until they close it down. And the 27th is the same I believe. It is a first for me, so I don't know exact times.

Will we need to install anything for it to work?

If you record it, then you could rebroadcast it overnight for those overseas or who have other reasons for not being able to view the live broadcast.
I would think that some of the interviews might be worthwhile recording for future viewing by new future members.
I realize that live casts are easier than storing the video, I was just "what if-ing".

We are taking stacks of tape with us. We hope to record a bunch of stuff. I don't believe we will take our HD camera, so I hope standard definition will work.

I will definitely check it out! What a great service to perform for us. Of course, I need to ask if you need any other assistants? You know, like fetch the coffee or just hang out. No? Well it doesn't hurt to ask. Have a great time and I hope it is a technical glitch free webcast. Clear Skies...

Oh Great! I spent half of Stellafane 2006 making sure that I was not in the camera field of view when they were shooting “Seeing in the Dark” and now I have to hide at NEAF!
One of my friends was not so lucky and ended up forever captured in Tim F’s film.
With live webcams I guess my plan to walk off with a case full or Ethos eyepieces will become more difficult….
