Not the first picture I've ever taken, but the first one I've taken since re-entering the hobby after an absence of 35+ years.
Picture was taken with an Astro-Tech 72ED, using a Lunt Solar Wedge with a Baader Continuum filter, 2x barlow, and using a Canon EOS XSi camera:

Android Astrophotography
Thought I would post my best photos so far. Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus and of course the Moon. Equipment used: 5" Refractor, 8" Reflector and my HTC cellphone camera.
Great stuff... ! I hope to try to get some with my iPhone soon. Did you just hold the phone up to the eyepiece or do you use a bracket of some kind?

I took my first picture of Saturn last Friday night. I don't know much yet, but I've been learning a lot here. I have a 4" reflector and the camera was on a tripod pointing into the eyepiece.

Attached my first picture of Orion using my QSI-583. Only three 15-sec stacked images and a little bit of retouching using Maxim-DL. Can't wait to take more shots as soon as weather permits.

Saturn as a first astrophoto object seems to be a popular choice! This image is stacked from only 5 photos (1.3" at F5.6/ISO 1600) on a breezy night. Going to give it another shot tonight if the winds subside a bit more.

Here is my first astrophoto taken from a very dark and cold(-12F) site in the middle of Iowa in Feb 1974. I used a 6 in Newtonian at prime focus f/8. Guided with a homemade DC/AC inverter. After about an hour of polar alignment using the star drift method. I was able to take three 5 minute exposures before the camera froze and the film would not advance frames. This shot is the best of the three. Tri X film pushed to ASA 1600 at a local drug store. This is my first and probably my favorite. The things we do for love.
