Here's the plans I used. I dont's use a tripod because I have a 3/4 inch finished plywood that I can slide around on a table. The mirror can be bought with it's own mount so you don't have to build a base. The wood and screws should cost you no more than $10. The glass with it's own mount will cost you about $90.
