Here are the Film Astrophotography Semi-Finalists in the CN Imaging contest for April 2008:
ClownFish:

The largest and brightest Globular Cluster in the Milkyway, Omega Centauri contains over a million stars.
Scope: Meade 8" f/4 SN Mount: LXD75 Camera: Olympus OM-1 35mm SLR (1979) Filters: None Film: Fujichrome 400F Provia Slide Film Exposure: Single 10 minute exposure. Guiding: Manual with an Orion guidescope package Focus: STI Stiletto Series IV Location: Marakele National Park, South Africa Date: May 5, 2008

Itīs a composite of two images: First, Fuji SHG 200 exposures 40 minutes. Second, Kodak TP hyp. with 62 minutes. Both shots were combined and processed in PS.
Nightfly:

Antares Region. May 3, 2008 3:00 AM Pentax 67 with 165mm F/2.8 stopped down to f/4 riding atop a Meade 2080 manually guided. 30 minutes exposure on Kodak E200 film push processed +1 stop. Scanned on an Epson 4490. Processed in Adobe PS and PixInsight LE
