does anyone have photos or can you comment on using one of these video cameras with just a lens screwed to the front of the camera for example: a 12.5- 70mm zoom.the camera will be on a celestron cg-5 with daul drive. this in what im going for if i purchase one ( wide field) thanks, don

It works!! I have only done it a couple times with a Pro Dob MallinCAM using a modestly prices little zoom lens. Focus is a bit tricky (mine is manual and pretty coarse) but it delivered a nice wide field. I think others have done it also for education outreach things but also to see parts of the Milky Way in a supercharged fashion.
