another view; definitely an old school mount,
but it tracks and guides beautifully.
130# payload capacity is a conservative
rating, I'm sure.

Well here is my puny mount. Didn't have the DEC circle or the 60 lbs. of counterweights on it yet when I snapped the picture. Oh and by the way those shafts are a solid 3"! You just might guess that the scope is not a 60mm. Mike

Here is mine. I just got it almost 2 weeks ago and haven't had a chance to use it, nothing but RAIN the entire time. It was high level clouds the day I set it up outside.
I upgraded from the trusty Nexstar mount and tripod to the Antares EQ5 that came in a Skywatcher EQ5 box
Look I see Blue on the CSC, theres hope yet.

Here are a overall and some detail pictures of the Losmandy GM-8 I received last week. I haven't had the change to test it's guiding capabilities good yet but the first short tests I did are positive. It carries it's load wonderfully and in the near future I wish to add a guiding scope.
I read about the problems in backlash a lot on the internet, but I don't understand the fuzz really.. There was no backlash on the DEC-axis yet a considerable bit on the RA. Yet I just used a clamp to clamp the wormgearblocks and was able to remove the backlash in under 10 minutes. It is now as backlashfree as I think it can be and it's very stable!
My first opinions on the mount are that it is as good as I hoped it to be. Very ingenious and also very easy to use, both visiually as well as for astrophotography.

I can finally see here that the Titan is quite a large mount. What a great setup! There appear to be vibrant spheres growing in your tree. We have no vibrant sphere bushes here!
