Hello All
I am hoping someone can assist me with a slight issue.
I have a William Optics ZS66 Petzval. Using the standard William Optics SCT 2" push-fit adapter and William Optics 2" camera adapter, my Nikon D50 comes to focus with about 3-4mm focus travel left before it stops against the SCT adapter. This is fine until I add my 2" IDAS light pollution filter (or any other 2" filter for that matter). It means that I have to rack the focuser in to reach focus again, but now there's not enough travel left and I can't achieve focus!
Obviously, I guess I need a lower profile 2" camera adapter. Has anyone else had this same issue, and can someone point me in the right direction for the solution?
I have also posted this message in the 'Refractors' section. I hope this is okay.
Many thanks in advance for your help ...
Best wishes Andrew

I bought the low-profile adapters from http://www.stellar-international.com/index1.html
I don't know whether they would help or not, but you can't get much closer.

Charlie

This must be peculiar to your optics design. The ZS66 APO has plenty of focus travel. I also use the Hutech IDAS filter, but filter placement has no bearing on focusing. I use the 2" stellarvue camera adapter (CA-3) with my Nikon.
