Jeff, Your BF-5 would likely be warranted even if you are not the original owner. Just a thought.

Thanks for the thought, and I expect you're right. However, my experience with Meade returns is that the stress for me is rarely worth the money differential. I think I'd rather order a new one (and I'm sure my wife would rather have me do that).
