Usually when I imaged Ptolemaeus in the past I didn't capture very many small craterlets, but last lunar cycle I got more than is usual for me. I used the Mewlon 250 at FL=6000. The image is attached... I'm not sure what the diameter of the smallest is.

Timo,

I tried to do a quick measurement of the smaller craters based on Ammonius being 9 km in diameter according to Rukl. I get just a sliver over 1 km... maybe about 1.1 or 1.2 km for the smallest craterlets when measured on my higher resolution image. I also checked an Apollo image of Ptolemaeus posted by Stephen Lammel in the LPOD gallery.
