Just a note, I've edited the post title to reflect the subject better, in our ongoing attempts to make it easier to find the appropriate star party threads in this forum... If I guessed wrong which one you meant , please let me know.

As did I! And as usual, I get there on Wednesday too. That is unless something comes up to delay me. ;-)

I've purchased an extra admission before to give it to someone in case it was needed. One year it was needed for a person that had a broken arm and couldn't drive. She had her husband drive and they weren't going to let him stay. Luckily I was at the booth and told them to use my extra admission for them. I haven't done that lately since BFSP always sells out. But it did help that time to have it. I just can't see someone being turned away for such extraordinary circumstances. You know, like being handicapped.. And they were from Vermont!

Jeff,
I'll be bringing the 16" and my 25x100s. I just hope there's good weather; one or the other I'm going to be at BFSP. I really wish I could be at CSSP, but a family illness means there's a very good chance I'll be in Charleston, SC, during that weekend.

I’m doing just the opposite – going to CSSP and skipping BFSP. My wife and I always spend most of September at our rented house in the Adirondacks. My observing partners there tend to be bears!
I usually try to do a 2 to 4 day stay at Cherry Springs in October. Last year we had an “Indian Summer” weekend with t-shirt & shorts weather for several days.

I hope everything works out for you and your family! At least ASH is now accepting at-the-gate registrations for CSSP so it's possible for those "spur of the moment" opportunities. I usually bring the 18" and the Brass Behemoth 6" F/15 as well as a few other toys to play with.
I wish you and your family well.

That must have been before the recent reports of a Mountain Lion in north central PA!
I've been told that some guy even has a picture of the big cat on his front porch!

Hi George, I must tell you I live in the City of Philadelphia, PA I think I would rather deal with the Mountain Lion compared to what I have to deal with here in the City

Just don't leave your kids unattended.. I've seen them too.. (seriously). They're not going to bother anyone. There's no shortage of food for them, and they'd rather avoid humans. Now the Black Bear are a different story! If they smell food, they're going to try and get to it. So keep it sealed.

Count me in... even with the ridiculous cost of gas. If the weather looks good I'm going to try to head pretty early with my astro club.

I'll be there at BFSP regardless of the weather. I'm hoping the weather turns out to be nice, of course. Depending on my situation with vacation days, I might head up a day or two earlier if the weather looks better then but not on the weekend (heck, it's ALWAYS clear on a Thursday night)

Count me in, always preferred the Sept one... weather is generally better in Sept in these parts, plus there's 7 hours of astro-dark instead of the 4 at CSSP.
