This is a post only for Mac users. Today Apple released an update to the system. 10.5.3 If you use photoshop, DON'T update to 10.5.3, there is a serious bug in it. If you are using photoshop and opening images from a file server, the images will corrupt when you save them. This is repeatable and many others have documented it too. If you have already updated, saving the files to your local drive and copying them back to the server seems to work for me as a band-aid. I don't have a lot of details yet since this just happened today but I'll post more as I know more.
It only affects files on a server. Local files seem to be ok. I've only been able to test it on an Xserve server. I don't know if it affects windows or other types of servers.
I've tested it with CS3 and CS2. It is broken with those 2 versions.
I'll be testing some more tomorrow.
update: It seems that all types of fileservers are affected. It corrupts the files just by saving to any network volume.
