John, would you settle for a pic? This was part of the Mel Bartels' Telescope Walk About, just after they looked at my scope built by Chuck Dethloff, and had moved on to one of Steve Swayze's scopes nearby. With Chuck is Albert Highe, one of our speakers.

One of the disadvantages of setting up on the main road - not that SunRiver had any choice.

That's for sure, Tom. THIS year we brought a little compressor to blow the dust off before we packed. It worked...sort of.

I sent an email message to the address given on the web site and have not gotten an answer. My question is: how do I get to be a speaker if I attend the OSP next year?
What is the date? What do I need to bring in the way of giving the talk, do you have digital projectors and computers? Will I just need a USB drive with the talk on it? In what format?
Thanks; Steve Coe

Gee Steve, you only sent it at dinner time a few hours ago and we had a meeting tonight. Give me a bit of time to get back to you before you start complaining. The date is on the website (August 20-23, 2009) and we haven't even wrapped up the stuff from this year yet and definitely haven't even started to set up speakers for next year yet. Thank you for wanting to volunteer for next August and we'll get back to you the first of the year or so when our speaker chair starts his planning for the 2009 OSP. We do provide a digital projector and computer for speakers so a flash drive would be fine. Larry
