As I see No Posts Or Questions to Movie
      #2436237 - 06/02/08 10:59 PM

I was looking for the proper forum for this today and I hope I found it.

Can anyone here comment on Timothy Ferris' Seeing in the Dark astronomy film that aired on PBS last fall 2007?

I am thinking of purchasing it if for nothing else, to refer to Steve Omeara's sketching from the eyepiece sequence in the film.

I am not sure that I am known already here in other related forums. I entered as a member a month ago to start a gallery of my astronomy related art and photography.>

I'll look forward to any responses,

thank you,

Hi Mark,

Welcome to CN and to the Stellar Media forum. I like your solar sketches/art.

Here is a link to a very long posting in this forum about the film. I really enjoyed it.

I am looking forward to the new Discovery Channel series, When We Left the Earth: the NASA Missions.

hope this helps,

A most excellent posted forum on Feris' movie Seeing in the Dark.

I really enjoyed Seeing in the dark but it is more of a motivational than how to. If you are a Netflix member they do have it for rent.

Dave

Thanks, I just found it at a local University that will share/rent it to the University library that I worked as adjunct professor of astronomy at in 2004.
