hello,i have a problem with my skyscout when i try to update its firmware.my pc is dual booting xp and vista 32bit.i have the same problem on both op systems.when i connect the skyscout via its usb cable,its softaware recognises it but when i press the update button to check for new updates it gives me a message that it cant connect to the celestron update site and i should check my firewalls.
firewalls are disabled and i have internet without any problems.does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?i have tried on anoher pc with xp i get the same problem there.im worried that my ss is faulty  any suggestions gus?please help

i have the same problem when i connect the skyscout once and then switch off and disconnect it.the program still says the same thing.it would be interesting to see if i could ping that server they have.dont know its address though.its really stupid that they couldnt set up another way to update.they have that sd slot sitting there with no use...

problem solved,their server was down.
