Mars polygonal ground
      #2436834 - 06/03/08 09:46 AM

Sometime last week I posted an image of polygonal ground taken by Phoenix -- I can't for the life of me remember where. Anyway...

NASA's Earth Observatory website has produced a nice page that explains polygonal ground and includes a wide-field view of Mars taken by Phoenix as well as an image of related terrain on Earth.

Fascinating! Looks like a tough spot on Mars for a picnic, though.
