And by 2010, hardware prices will be a lot lower, and vista should be well tested and fixed!

On my new business desktop--- duel core--- I had XP installed after I had read that Microsoft was going to continue support.

That depends on what your hardware and software config is. I can tell you it's NOT fixed on ANY of my 3 machines

All I can say is that my XP business computer has NEVER crashed --- in the last 5 years with the old computer--- and the last 6 months with the new duel core Pentium computer.

I don't know what else I could ask for in a computer?

Thanks for the XP news update, Rusty. Smart move by Microsoft to keep XP going. Considering some of the responses I see here I will shut this one down for the time being...
