Well, unless you're a firm believer in invasions from outer space I don't think that "threats from miles (light years?) away" would be much of a concern to the average stargazer. It says that this system does "what the eyes do naturally", so what's the advantage re astronomical viewing? Then it appears that this system decides what to focus on as a point of interest; what if you don't agree with it? You're trying to concentrate on a certain double star or cluster and it keeps nagging you to check out something you aren't interested in[?].
Remember that the helmet is standard equipment with this setup (though I don't know if it works only with their binocular or if it could be adaptted to your Oberwerk 25x100s); if nothing else it may suffice as a stray-light blocker.
