Telescope Reviews: Save on big binos w/ a current Microsoft promotion

I figured I'd share this with the board. If you're an ebay user and have a PayPal account, and are willing to wait 60 days for a 10-25% rebate from Microsoft, this may be for you.

Instructions:

1) Go to live.com (Microsoft site) and search for 'big binoculars.'

2) Look for the top sponsored link with a 'Live Search cashback' icon. It should be an ebay link with a % discount shown for a Buy It Now w/ PayPal. Click on that.

3) You should see an icon at the top of ebay with the deal. It's good for about 60mins. Refine your search a little to filter out the junk Binos. The cashback icon will remain the same. I am currently seeing 20% cashback.

4) Now shop for Garrett Optical or Oberwerk Binos on ebay and save some cash! Garrett Optical has an ebay store, and opticsale is an authorized Oberwerk reseller. Note this only works if you use Buy It Now and pay with PayPal.

After the purchase, wait an hour or so and you'll get an ebay message with a link to create a MS live account. In 24 hours, you should see your cashback amount in the pending queue.

Background: This deal has been on the online hot deal / coupon sites for about a week. It's legit. Microsoft is paying cash rebates to for you to use their search engine- not unlike the Google checkout promotion. I used it yesterday to purchase some computer hardware.

Hope this helps someone save some $$$! I may pickup a 25x100 or 15x70 Ultra if they list one.
