My Autostar II Handbox (LX200GPS) showe no words on the screen. The keys are properly lit so there is power. I replaced the cord and saw no improvement. I updated the Autostar with the latest data and there is no change - still no words on the screen. Is there anyway to determine whether the handbox or telescope is in trouble?

Mine sometimes does this at power up I just trun off and turn back on and it works. Also you might need to reload the firmware in SAFE mode by hitting 999 on startup.
