A good first place to look would be on the telescope making pages at stellafane.org.

Newport Glass has kits that include pretty much everything needed for grinding and polishing. Aluminum coating is included in the price. You can view the kits here:
Newport Glass Mirror Kits

They list blanks * here * but no prices are listed for the blanks. I guess you would have to call.

GotGrit has blanks, but they only list the 8" in plate, not pyrex.

His blanks are quartz not pyrex. Nothing wrong with quartz, but it is different to work with than pyrex. He will pre-generate a curve for you if you want. You don't have to buy from his ebay store, email him and he will sell direct (maybe at a better price!)

Contact him via his website, not the ebay store.

Yes, Reco Labs blanks take a little longer to grind and polish but they are well worth the effort. I currently have finished 3 and all are excellent, under calm skies i can push them to 500x easily, I have a 14.75" f 3.9, a 13.5" f4.1 and a 14.75" f 5.3

Hey, thanks you guys! I want to make an 8" dob so I can gain expierience to someday grind refractor lenses. The later being often extremely difficult and time consuming, everything I've read says mirrors first. Unfortunately, this is my first mirror and quartz is apparently trickier to grind and figure than pyrex, so pyrex is the way I'm going. I'm probably going to go with a blank from newport glass! Thanks you guys!
