      #2495787 - 07/02/08 04:59 PM

Post your image of Lunar Crater Aristoteles here.
Post any comments on these images in Rules and Comments. Submissions shall close at Midnight EDT on July 31st. Please submit only one entry.

If you have submitted and entry and want to change it, please PM one of your moderators.

[Tip: Our level of bonhomie is directly proportional to the amount of time remaining to the close of submissions and inversely proportional to the number of clowns that want to change their entries.]

[Next tip:(aren't we helpful) There were significant changes to the rules beginning with the July 2008 contests. It would be a very good idea to check the Rules and Comments thread, the link is above.]

Here's my shot at it, taken tonight (13th of July) through my 6" Newt with an SPC900NC webcam.
Stacked about 64 frames out of 1000 with Registax, did some post processing in GIMP:

Since fishmagnet and I imaged on the same night 7/9/08, I guess I have to do something different

Details:
Imaged with Philips SPC900NC webcam on a C6-N with 3x Orion Trimag Barlow. Best 200 frames multipoint stacked with Registax. Deconvolution with AstraImage. Highpass filter plus slight curves adjustment in PSCS3.

White balance was definitely off but I liked the color and decided to keep it...so here it is:
