[Next tip:(aren't we helpful) There were significant changes to the rules beginning with the July 2008 contests. It would be a very good idea to check the Rules and Comments thread, the link is above.]

I finally got a break in the weather so i could get something on the NGC7023. This was a tough target for me. Light pollution in the area of the sky kept my exposure time down to 2 min subs. I need to cool my CCD, lots of noise over 2 min

LXD75-SN8
Meade DSI-pro
3- 2min subs Luminance
1 2min each sub for RGB
LRGB,Levels, and curves in photoshop

Meade LXD75-SN-8
DSI Pro
Sony H7
Canon XSi 450D unmod

Ok,

I finally could go outside after a break in the weather and a knee surgery after which I was unable to lift tripod and mount.

Saturday was a nice calm day and image was taken through a thin layer of cirrus clouds.

Image data:

Scope: TSA102
CCD: Starlight Xpress SXV-H9
Guider: Starlight Xpress SXV on ZS80FD
Mount: EM200 Temma II

19 x 10 min subs for Lum, 12 x 5 min subs for RGB acquired in MaximDL

Calibration, Registering, Sigma Data Reject in MaximDL

Combined color, curves, Levels and Noel Carboni's space noise reduction tool in Photoshop CS2

I managed to get out between the clouds last night. Transparency was terrible, but I was able to get some subs before it clouded over.
