i recently acquired a pair of apogee 10x60 binos-when i attempt to use them for astro i can not view with both eyes or i have double images- i dont experience this viewing terresterial objects- i do where glasees which i always remove when using the binos or scope- i am just wondering if my eye malady is something anyone else has experienced and if so is there something that i can do when attempting to use the binos-clear skies rocco

The binoculars are probably somewhat out of collimation. I've had a pair of older binoculars that gave me the same problem; my personal theory is that for a daytime terrestrial image that's just a bit off, your brain does a good job of merging the images based on background detail, but it can't do that for an astronomical view. In my case, a newer, better pair of binoculars made an enormous improvement.

You can do a "conditional alignment" (rough collimation for 1 ipd). There should be instructions in the "Best Of" section in this forum.
