Just nabbed a 3 - 6 Nagler zoom off A-mart! Plastic is a terrible thing, but at least my employer let's me "cash in" vacation days!
I figured let's buy EP's when the weather is not so good and the forecast calls for even more of the fluffy white/gray stuff. I still have yet to have the 15 Wide field out for first astronomical light yet!
Should have it by the middle of next week.

I ordered one with my SV80ED so I also have one on the way. It makes sense, IMO, and even at the higher cost, it replaces several EPs so strangely there is value there.
Cool!

Seeing your sig line.... Welcome back to the land of the telescope.
Yeah, something with the name Nagler on it being considered a value sounds strange, but it's true.
Look forward to your impressions.

Congratz Clinton!
I have the eye on that eyepiece too. I think you will have a very nice setup with your Pronto.
Don`t forget to post some pics of your Pronto-Zoom combo.

But... things have changed and I have a great spot just down the road so the "fever" is back!

Nice! I love little scopes setups. I spend more time look them than the big and hyper-expensive monster dobs or big apos.
When Al Nagler visited Spain, he was asked about the eyepiece which one he felt more proud. With no hesitatation he said "Nagler Zoom".

First Light!
Impressions:
An extremely versatile EP. Zooming to meet the seeing conditions is a big plus. ER not that bad, usable with specs, one has to turn their head ever so slightly to see the field stop. Without specs, no eye placement issues whatsoever. The entire FOV can be seen with the EP ~ .5 - 1mm away from the eye socket. The ever so easy eye placement and very usable ER for an EP with a FL between 6 and 3 is amazing to me, truly a marvel of engineering.
Onto the visual stuff:
Seeing, what seeing, all observations were made through either haze or thin cloud cover. Objects observed were the Luna and Jove. The Moon was comfortably bright at 6mm. progressively getting dimmer as you move towards 3mm. The thing that stood out in my mind was no loss of detail, dimmer but the sharpness and detail hung right in there. Jupiter was low ~ 20° or so mired in haze but the N and S equatorial belts were clearly seen as well as some smaller cloud detail at 3mm. For the seeing around 5mm was best, but the thing that really gets me is no matter how much mag. I threw at it the image remained sharp. There was some slight distension of the disk of Jupiter as the planet entered into the last 10% of FOV, but, the disk remained sharp. Did I mention the views were sharp?
I can't wait until truly clear skies for this EP. I'm sure things would have been ever sharper had the lil ole Pronto had time to warm up, there is about a 15° differential between the house and outside. I am also eager to try it on M13. The 3-6 Nagler zoom is clearly an optical wonder.

I got my Nagler 3-6mm zoom last week and tried it out in my WO ZS110. I couldn't believe the detail I could see in M13 with it! It blew me away.
Enjoy!

M13 and M57 should be real treats! I plan on replacing the lil ole Pronto with a Genesis in the coming years, with the extra aperture should make the NZ a real kick!

Nice report.... I also ordered one and it will be here next week along with my SV 80ED. Sounds like Im gonna be REALLY happy. Not surprising with TVs excellent reputation. The funny part is that the Nagler zoom is actually CHEAP when you figure in the cost of four high-quality, High-power EPs!
