We got a bit sun today so I THOUGHT I would show you what can be seen from my dark site when it's fairly clear..

I really like the look of the country around your place.
Whenever you get some clear sky it must be nice.

I spent a couple years in the Aleutian Islands, we never got to see the sun!

Carlisle is 20 miles away but very much below the site, so the lights don't bother me. Light from the small village about 1 mile away amounts to a small red flash light. It is not the darkest place on Earth but their are lots of stars to be seen. I will post a photo when the nights get a bit darker so you can see for yourself.....
