I finally got the opportunity to do a few minutes of Lunar observation Saturday night before the moon set (6 July @ 21:00 CDT, 7 July @ 02:00 UT). I did not have much time, so I focused my attention on Crisium's northern "shore" and the relatively large, well-defined crater immediately north of Crisium (sorry, I'm at work and my moon map is at home so I can't recall the crater's name). I was observing at 209x. The crater floor was completely dark, with only it's western rim fully illuminated. But, along that western rim were two distinct, triangular shadows. I figured there were either two significant indentations along the rim that were still in shadow, or a couple peaks casting shadows on the rim. But, closer examination told me it was likely not the second case, as the shadows were "pointed" in the wrong direction.
I was also fascinated by what appeared to be a block-like ridge between this crater and Crisium, and a relatively small but well defined craterlet on top of that ridge.
What have been your impressions of the Lunar terrain in this area? Can anyone easily point me to any images (or sketches) of this area?
Thanks in advance!

The crater you're describing sounds to me like Cleomedes. Unfortunately, I'm not home either, and that's about as far as my memory alone will take me.

Hi Kenneth,
following Tom's idea, here's a hires texture shot taken from Jim Mosher's Lunar Terminator Visualization Tool, showing Cleomedes and Cleomedes T. The latter is a small craterlet located just atop a mountanous section just north the shores of Mare Crisium.
Be well!

... and here's a crop of LAC 44 showing the northern part of Mare Crisium and Cleomedes.

... and finally, LTVT-calibrated Consolidated Lunar Atlas plate c 1, where I labeled various Cleomedes Craterlets.

Tom, you are correct. The crater was Cleomedes.
Timo, thanks for preparing and sharing those wonderful images. Clearly, there are more than just one craterlet scattered along that ridge between Cleomedes and Crisium. I'm not sure which craterlet I did see. I would have liked to have had more time at the eyepiece, with the moon higher in the sky. I'm sure I could have resolved more detail (including more craterlets). With that, I could have possibly been able to barlow the 6mm (418x).
Cleomedes' floor was too dark to see any craterlets, as was half of Crisium's floor.
I'm still not sure what caused the two dark shadows along an otherwise well-illuminated western rim. It looks like at least one newer impact crater along that wall that is likely responsible for one of those shadows.
Thanks!

Here's a couple of details from larger images I shot at various times that included this area - shows how shadows can really exaggerate the topography:
