10x42 Nikon Monarch ATB or the Bushnell Infinity 10.5x45? I'll be using them for sporting events. (football) Any other recommendations for similar products?

With a typical 10x roof prism binocular's FOV of around 6°, you'll likely have trouble keeping your eye on the ball!

IMO, a wide field 8x or lower power binocular with at least 8° FOV would serve you much better; it gives nearly twice the viewing area of a 6° binocular. Take a look at the Oberwerk 8x40 Mariner, for instance.

or even look for a 7x35 or 6x?? with the widest field you can get. I've tried watching track meets with binoculars and even the widest 8° fov I have falls short to encompase the action when the runners are completely on the other side of the stadium.

I agree with Ed, I think that 10x will be tooooo crowded for sporting events, take a look at the Nikon Action Extreme ATB 7x35 for a wider field of view.
