TV Ad for binoculars... new
      #2509233 - 07/09/08 07:16 PM

I hope no one has already posted this one...

I nearly fell off the sofa when this TV ad came on. I've seen it several times now.

Behold, the OPTIC1050!
It magnifies 1000%!
Shatterproof lenses!
You can see up to 35 miles!
... and it's only $29.95!
But wait, there's more...

Be sure to watch the video. Very educational.

I had to think about that 1000% for a second...
  1x = 100%
  2x = 200%...
  QED 10x = 1000% ... honesty in advertising afterall.

OK Guys fess up. Which one of you was the husband who spent over a thousand dollars on binoculars when you could have spent $29.95?

Woooo hoooooo! ...with instant eye-width regulators!!!!

And here I was just today thinking that my eye-width could use some good ol'-fashioned regulation.

Hi dgs,

Yep, Ive seen the ad about six times now--on the Science Channel, no less. Sometimes I wonder how these DTV channels can churn a profit. It makes my blood run thin.

But, apparently, some folk must be buying these "things." Probably will end up in the glove box of a car somewhere--at least I hope so.

Best regards,
Dave.

I love a statement like that. Give me a hammer and we'll see just how shatterproof they really are.

if so, posting it on CN would not be allowed. copyright. I don't know anywhere that you'd actually be able to post a copied video without infringing on copyright.
