Quick service!
      #2511582 - 07/10/08 08:25 PM

I ordered Farsight binocular mount on Sunday at 5.16 pm from OPT. Got it Wednesday morning at 10 am. Now that is quick to the UK.

I once walked into Jesssop's in Chorley at 11.12am , and by 11.16am I was walking out of the shop with the 8 x 42 binoculars I'd wanted .

Now THAT is quicker service than the time taken to purchase a lotto ticket from the local Spar shop !

That's great service. I have to admit that when it comes to Internet orders and service, now I think about it, I'm supprised to admit that I don't have any complaints at all.

Wow Kenny, I can only assume that the area manager was visiting that jessops...I went into my local jessops last week, grabbed what I needed (well wanted) then proceeded to stand and watch the boy behind the counter stare blankly at a customer he was serving while she read a manual for a LCD picture frame. Both he and his co worker, who was on the phone to his new girlfriend, seemed oblivious to the growing queue of panicked lunch time shoppers. After waiting what felt a lifetime (probably only 10 minutes) I lost the will to buy gadgetry and left.

Don't worry I rekindled my gadget lust after some rest and a glass of red wine.

Glen ,

In spite of my world renowned reputation for having a preference for getting 'owt for 'nowt ,I am almost ashamed to admit that on the occasion , I actually paid ( in cash , too ! ) -- 'though admittedly , that WAS a few years ago , now ! :-)

Hi Steve,
I bought mine from OPT. There is a dealer in the UK who is supposed to have them. I did phone him but couldn't get a date of any kind from him. www.scsastro.com ask for Kieron.

I am really pleased with the mount. I did have to tweak it a little but the workmanship is very good.

I've been using the FarSight binocular mount more and more recently. When you have several binoculars you want to change out during the evening, it's really a convenience.

Oberwerk also sells it.
