Afternoon moon
      #2511930 - 07/10/08 11:48 PM Attachment (47 downloads)

Ever since I was a kid, I've been awed by the sight of the moon during daylight hours. My dad used to tease me that the moon had forgotten to go to bed. So I tried to capture that feeling with this shot, taken about 7 p.m. at prime focus in my WO 110 Megrez. Very little post-processing, mostly crop and enhance contrast just a bit, plus a little unsharp mask. I'm not claiming this as an "accurate" astrophoto...I wanted to capture that feeling of a daylight moon.
