The sky looked pretty good a while ago, but the constant flashes of lightning from the north made me reluctant to set up. Five ft. long aluminum refractor? I may as well be looking through a lightning rod.

My arm is in a sling now, Jim. I'm sure you saw me waving though.
We never did get that storm our way last night. Tonight looks promising for getting Stella out of the house. They are calling for mostly clear with a low of 59*.

We just arrived home safe and sound, but completely worn out from the travel that began 27 hours ago: first on a ferry from Santorini to Athens, then a train to the airport, then a 3 AM flight to Amsterdam that connected to our flight home. Our college aged kids can hack it just fine but I'm going to bed!

We were out in Overgaard a month or so ago. About 6500ft. It was only about 85 while Phoenix was about 100+. Nice area!
Once again you're two hours away and I don't know about it?

Mebbe so, but Scott H. sez he might be out our way come end of October, mighty close to AASP time. Clear skies can make for a lot of smileys.
The gang at Farnsworth Ranch'll be captive audiences for the ol' marketing ploy, Mr. H. It would be a good thing to have an outside witness to what will undoubtedly be another phenomenal escape from a dry wash by the intrepid rboe, living on the Edge.
