Yuri has advised me that my TEC 140 is ready to ship. Maybe I'll have it by next weekend!!

I'm going to throw it up beside my AR-6 just for grins. Everyone in the Kentuckiana region should get prepared for major white blocks on their clear sky clocks!

If Yuri said it was ready to ship last week, you should definately have it this coming week. It's an awesome scope, i think you'll have a great time with it. What will it be mounted on? And are you putting it in an observatory or keeping it mobile? We look forward to some pics!

It'll be sitting on a G-11 in my roll-off roof observatory. It 'll have a C-11 as a stable mate, and I hope that at some point I'll have a AP1200 mount to hold them both. It's replacing an AR-6 achro that will stay just long enough for me to compare the two and that I'll then find a new home for. Pics as soon as it shows up!!

You're going to LOVE that scope. I have one out in the Observatory and STILL get blown away at it's level of contrast.

When that AR-6 beats the pants off your new TEC, you can sell the TEC to me cheap!

Congrats on the new acquisition and I hope the clouds give you a break. I'm just glad you don't live near me, so I don't have to be clouded in!

I'll be sure to keep that in mind! The AR-6 was an experiment to see if I'd like a big refractor. It's taken me almost three years to convince the CFO (wife) that I should spend major $$$ on a scope. I originally promised to sell the C-11 to help pay for the TEC140, but right after I ordered it she suggested that I keep the SCT - or 'the big black scope' as she knows it. I love my wife!!

Anticipatory drool for a few days, and then comes the ritual of unpacking. Enjoy it. The Tec 140 is everything they say it is, and then some - because it's yours.
