Back from St. Thomas..Binos a Bust!
      #2517367 - 07/13/08 09:59 PM Attachment (43 downloads)

Hi All,
Had a great time the island was beautiful. Didn't get to see anything but Jupiter with the binos
It was cloudy each night & there was a lot more LP then I thought there would be. Didn't even see the MW till we went to dinner at this out of the way place & even then it was hardly there.
I did get to show Jupiter to a lot of people at the resort bar & they all loved it.
Went to St. John's one day but didn't stay late. I'm sure the night sky would have been better there.
My wife took this shot while we were waiting to take the ferry back to St. Thomas.

Guner, that's a bummer to get clouds each day!
We've had clouds to parly cloudy for about the whole summer. But, to travel miles and get that, too. That must really s...!

jrw11: It did stink! I could have gotten some clear skies later at night but after 3-6 hrs of snorkleing each day I was beat & went to bed early.
Markus: Thanks. It was one of the most beautiful islands we have been too. Usually you just see the ocean while on the beach. St. Thomas has a lot of islands around it so it had some really nice views.
