Should an off-axis solar filter have a rattle when moved? My filter clinks when I thread it on. The 3 screws that hold it in place won't budge in either direction.
It's a little loose in the cell. That allows for expansion of the glass when it's sitting under the hot Sun. If it was held tightly in place, the expanding glass could strain and crack.
