But in general, what type of detail have you seen in different binos, and under what conditions? For example.. "I've seen the bands on Jupiter in my...", or "I can see both east/west parts of the Veil in my...", or "I can see M51 in my..." I'm just curious as to how much has actually been pulled out of various binoculars. There's a thread linked through the 'best of' sticky thread, giving binocular observing reports. "I can see both east/west parts of the Veil in my...", Almost any hand held binocular fitted with narrow band filters or maybe OIIIs. And, moderately dark skies. "I can see M51 in my..." With. moderately dark skies you should see it in a 10x50.
