Finding stars on Stellarium new
      #2524937 - 07/17/08 05:35 PM

I have 0.9.1 installed. I'm trying to find a specific star, such as Eta Carinae which name shows up when you eventually locate it manually - so it must be in its database.

However when I use the search function it only seem to allow the basic names, such as Sirius.

Is there an advance search hidden somewhere. Seems to be a silly limitation.

Apparently the Hipparcos data does not include Eta Carinae from what I've found...but it does include the cluster right next to it (HD 93250) if that would help to zone in on it...
