Is it a good idea to start film photography with that camera(medium format)? I want something that i can keep for a long time and with minimal maintenance. I live in Greece so its pretty out of the question to find it here. Do you have any recommendations as to where can i find such model or similar? (Dont want to mess with ebay) What price range should i expect?
Best regards George

George,
If you are new to photography, medium format can be a little overwhelming, however the Pentax 67 is basically a larger version of their old classic 35mm camera-the Spotmatic II. Going from 35 to 6x7 is a big leap in image quality. If a long term relationship is what your looking for stay away from the older 6x7 model. Look for a "67" or "67II". I purchased a 67 with standard prism and a 105mm lens for well under $500.00 US. It came in original boxes and was in mint condition. I did get it on eBay, as well as other lenses there as well, great deals can be found. You should be able to find these cameras in larger camera shops in your area, but you will pay more, perhaps. The newer 67II is a nicer improved unit, but you will pay more than $1,000.00 for it. The 67 with its available accessories and wide variety of very good lenses will serve the purposes for astrophotography very well.
Good luck and let us know how you made out.

Plus buying from the US has a plus, the EURO is at an all time high against the dollar. We are almost neighbors, I'm over here in Israel, which is having something similar.

I can understand your reservations on dealing with Ebay. I had the same thing. However, I ended up getting my 67 and all the lenses on ebay with no problems. Most of these lenses and cameras are well looked after. After all, they cost over $1,000 new depending on the lens.
Some 67 cameras are listed on Ebay in the UK. Keep your eyes open, and if you can get one - do it. I love my Pentax 67. It has opened a new way of looking at the world as compared to my years shooting with 35mm.
