Dean,
You should mention that Hershey is only 45 minutes from the star party in the Attractions on the FAQ page.
My wife was very very happy to know that!

One week till departure!
Got the new Observatory tent. The kids tested it out last night. I tested it with pier, mount and telescope the night before. It's too cramped for more than one person for observing purposes. Heck it's too cramped for one person depending on where in the sky your telescope is pointed. I suspect it is better for imaging at a star party where you don't want anyone near the telescope while the photons are being gathered. Regardless it's a great tent and will house everyone real nice for our first ever family star party.

Im looking forward to the video astronomy talk. I just bought a Watec camera and OWL focal reducer and need some guidance on how to use them. Totally clueless.
My girlfriend wants to see Gettysburg or some other cultural/historical places. I'd chip in for gas if someone will take her off my hands for a few hours.
Thanks C-L

Might be able to oblige! No promises but I plan on going to Gettysburg with the family. Not sure how much room we will have though. F350 Crew Cab but family of 5.
Hershey Chocolate Factory tour is another thing we are planning. http://www.hersheypa.com/events/details.asp?EVENTID=6078
Possible trip to Lancaster too.

Apparel prices now include $4 shipping per item. All orders made after 7/16 will be shipped to you after the Star Party is over. If your actual shipping fee differs by more than $2 from what we charged, we will include a check for the difference in your shipment. On the off chance that some of the orders placed after July 16 are available at the Star Party, your shipping fee will be refunded.

Zak,
We have a tent and a screen room "tent".
Is that permissible? I mean some people bring big honkin' RVs right?
Just checking.

Mark,
Yes, no problem. Camping is along the side of the airstrip, which is very long. And yes, some people bring their big honkin' RVs.
Oh, and by the way, I just checked the 10-15 weather outlook on AccuWeather, and the weather outlook looks pretty SPECTACULAR. Let's hope the forecast holds up.

Hi all you crazy star gazers, Well, the time has finally arrived and the Mason Dixon is upon us. It appeears that the weather may even be kind to us. We have great speakers lined up, a swimming pool to cool us off, a new food vendor who intends to be open until at least 2:00ma with great selections and special meals planned for Thursday(chicken marsala with pasta) and Friday (tilapia stuffed with crackers and shrimp with red potatoes and brocolli as sides), a wonderful selection or raffle prizes and of course the great Saturday picnic. Hope to see y'all at this year's MDSP. Keep your eyes on the skies, Celestial Cyn
