I have received the first results with my "new" 300mm SMC Takumar lens. This lens is equivelant to a 150mm in 35mm format.
Messier 8 is beautifully located in the southern extension of the Great Rift, surrounded by billowy clouds that E.E. Barnard famously photographed.
Details as follows:
Pentax 67 with 300mm f/4 SMC Takumar lens @ f/5.6
30 minute exposure on Kodak E200 film pushed +2 stops
Scanned on an Epson 4490 flatbed scanner and processed in PixInsight LE.
Photo taken at my dark sky observatory at my home in Sullivan, Maine.
