Ain't THAT the truth!
We have three cameras with us; a Canon EOS Rebel 35mm film SLR, a Canon 35mm underwater, and a tiny little freebie digital unit about the size of a cell phone that my mother-in-law got as some sort of promotional gimmick.
Film will wait until we're back next week to get developed. I've put a couple of digital shots over in OTO in the thread Happy Happy Us

Thanks, Mr. Scott, sir! Big day for the kids, eh? How about for the adult(s)?
Will you folks make it to Farhsworth for AASP (gratuitous yank back to the topic)?

I will definitely be at AASP, not sure about the kids at this time. My custody schedule tends to change at the last moment sometimes.
The kids were there with my ex and their step-dad. I'm sure everyone had a great time!

Hard not to have a great time! Hope they got some of the culture, too.
Looking forwared to AASP, assuming monsoon ends. But then, I've kind of missed monsoon recently!

It better end, I want to try my (new to me) 16" Truss out under some dark skies. Your 18" will have a new neighbor next year at the Canyon Jim.

And yours doesn't need a four step ladder!
Very clever, getting a new-to-you scope during monsoon.

At zenith the scope needs a very small step up. The eyepiece is just a view inches high but the rest of the time my feet are on the ground. And yes best to get a large dob during this season so I dont have to worry about hurting the skies at the star parties.
