Sorry for this granulation flood but I just squeezed all the juice out of the C11.
Here's the image: http://www.bcsatellite.net/bao/granul29jul.jpg
Warning: 1.5 Mb file!
And here's the setup it was taken with:

That is superb. You know what we shall ask for next - an animation of a small section, it would be great to see how those grains evolve!

Would love to do that somewhen in the future. The sun surface was changing so quickly I could not lock into an alignment feature. You see a dark pore, get it to the center of the field and slowly see it is fading away and then disappears in a couple of minutes. A miraculous view!

That is going to be a great set-up when some sunspot activity starts to come about. Thanks for sharing.

Max we appreciate your contributions. Many of us can't wait for the next bit of activity to see your work. Even without activity your images are very interesting.
This latest image is one of the finest granulation images I've ever seen. Well done!

This shows just how fast the quality of amateur telescopes and imaging is catching up with the professional equipment. Absolutely top notch work there Max

Hi Max,
That is an extraordinary image! I'm sorry if I've missed this elsewhere - what is the focal length and arcseconds/pixel of your C11 solar set-up. Conditions must have been incredible to not be limited by the seeing at this aperture.
wonderful work, thanks for sharing,
Alan

This should be a poster for Baader! I keep coming back to this image. I can't believe how much resolution you have.

If I am to understand, you did this with a white-light filter, a UV/IR block filter, and a 7nm deep-sky H-alpha filter, correct?

Holy cow man. My first try with the C14 yielded, shall we say, less than your image...

Gentlemen, that's not it.
http://www.bcsatellite.net/bao/granul29julqe.jpg
Here's the same image enhanced by super-resolution technique. Warning: 1 Mb file.
Dear Alan and Lee Jay, the setup is rather simple. C11, Baader Astrosolar Photo film, Baader 7nm H-alpha filter and Astrovid Voyager camera. No barlows. Focal length is 2800mm, but the image was supersized in post processing. I think I'm a bit lost what is the arcsec/px ratio now, I will track this next time.
The seeing was average. I had to wait an hour or even more to collect the humble set of 150 frames to stack. Wrapping the scope in the isolation material as seen on the pics helped a lot. That was the idea I originally saw Roland Christen was saying on the Astromart forum.
