My first Veil Mosaic new
      #2548781 - 07/29/08 04:59 PM Attachment (18 downloads)

Last night I had a chance to shoot the other half of the Eastern Veil. I had the NGC6992 area but I needed the NGC6995 and even with the C-8 Hyperstar the small CCD chip of the Orion Star Shoot II couldnt fit it all in one shot. I know its not the best image in the world but I am really proud of it. Here are the specs:

Scope: Celestron C-8 with Hyperstar
Camera: Orion Starshoot II
Focal Ratio: f/2
Mount: CG-5 Go To
Exposer: 45x1min (Left image), 30x1min (Right Image)
Unguided.

Haha I Believe we have talked on the phone once or twice about your amazing focusers. But anyway. I used MaxIm DL v4 plus DSLR. But I also have Photoshop CS3 and Nebulosity.
This image was with MaxIm and CS3. The Hyperstar also helps out. With your SBIG you wouldnt need to do a mosaic on this object as your CCD is much larger than mine. With a C-14 you can actually image with your SBIG on a Hyperstar system. A very nice F/2 imaging system
