I have an old pair of 7x50s. The eyecups are hard plastic and with my eyeglasses looking thru them is like looking thru a pair of 30 -35mms. Is it possible to purchase a set of soft rubber eyecups that can replace the old ones?

Try some O-rings (hydraulics, automotive, plumbing, etc), if all else fails.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking of replacing the old eyecups for rubber ones that can be screwed on. As, the old ones are.

Edz, When the hard plastic eyecup is screwed off, the threads around the eyepiece is about 30mm, maybe 29. They are the old Pentax 7x50s that have the gold coating. If i can replace them with flexible rubber ones. It might be easier to use with my eyegasses. Thanks!

appended here from a post by Stan,
In the past there has been inquiries about replacement eyeguards. Today I received a catalog from ANCHOR OPTICS, a divison of EDMUND OPTICS, which contains a variety of rubber eyeguards.
I am posting the link for those who still may be interested in a reputable source.

If all else fails, you could make a pair out of a section of bicycle inner tube. I did this for a while for a missing eyeguard on an old binocular until I made a replacement. It's not the most elegant solution but worked. Just cut a length, say a little longer than double what you want, fold it back on itself to get a smooth edge and then stretch on. Et voila!
