The object which looks like an old fashioned dumbell with another crater to it's top left with a button top in the middle should be easy to recognize. However after consulting my ref. guide (Stars and Planets by J.M. Pasachoff) with the moon mapped out I can not find it anywhere. My question? The crater with the central peak that appears attached to the feature in question is Theophilus, and the lobe to which it is attached is the crater Cyrillus. The southern lobe is Catharina. That bright shark tooth feature to the right of Theophilus appears to be Mons Penck. -------------------- Tom W.
