It looks like to me that you have two composite outputs, either one would work in something like this would work well.

What are you trying to do?

View the output of your camera on an PC that uses an LCD monitor?
If so Chris has got it.

Use an existing LCD monitor by itself ?
If so you'll need a composite video to VGA converter ... like this link

Purchase a small LCD monitor expressly for use with your Polaris camera?
Then just about any commercial LCD monitor designed for video viewing will work (anything with a composite video input). B&H Photo is one of many good sources.

chris: is this similar to the capture device sold by radio shack called camera mate. i have one of these devices that i use to transfer video from vcr tapes to dvd. i never thought of hooking the camera directly to it. don

I think you'll find the problem with a laptop is that, while it may have an S-video connector, it's output, not input. A small TV or monitor with S-video in will work.

The cable in Donnie3's photo has an RCA plug at the free end, the most common for the connection to a monitor. Some use BNC connectors, but the adaptor is available at Radio Shack (and it looks like he may have one already connected to the camera).

Just a side note, there is no S-video out on the camera.

I also use a VGA to composite video converter to output the image to an LCD monitor, and it works great!

chris: i connected the camera mate from radio shack to the laptop and the camera and it worked like a charm. the video came on the camera mate screen. thanks for the suggestion. now if i just had a better video camera. this polaris dx9263sl i not really what i expected. i guess im just going to have to dig deep and get a gstar or mallicam. not sure i wont to wait 3 months for a mallicam so the gstar sounds promising. don

Don, you have something to play with while you wait, trust me, the Mallincam is well worth the wait.
